After five consecutive losses in EuroLeague and an early exit in the Copa Italia quarterfinals, Virtus showed signs of life with a significant 86-80 win over their fierce rivals, Olimpia Milano, in the previous Palacanestro round. 

Toko Shengelia led as usual with 15 points, but it was Matt Morgan’s 16-point performance and veteran Marco Belinelli’s 19-point display that truly marked the game as one of the season’s highlights.

Virtus’ only remaining goal for the season is winning the Italian Championship, and their EuroLeague matches will serve as crucial preparation to build form for that challenge.
