Both teams have looked good at some points of their run through the VCT EMEA Kickoff, namely Team Liquid, who exceeded expectations in the previous round and demolished GIANTX.

On the other side, BBL Esports managed just two close wins against Fnatic and GIANTX, and while those count for something, it does not make BBL look very potent.

This is a clash between two capable teams who still have a lot more to prove. Expect a close game.

  • Both teams have had their moments
  • Clash of two decent squads
  • A sweep is unlikely

Head to Head

BBL Esports and Team Liquid have yet to meet this season.

BBL Esports Form

BBL Esports looked great in the upper bracket of VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff. They bested GIANTX (2-1) in the first round, edged past Fnatic, and put up a fight against Team Heretics but still came out short.

Not a terrible run from BBL Esports, although they still have some way to go to be considered a good team. They’ve so far managed just two close wins and one 0-2 loss against a good team, which is not highly inspiring.

BBL Esports Squad & Team News

BBL Esports have not announced any roster changes.

  • Burak "LêwN" Alkan
  • Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen
  • Dawid "PROFEK" Święć
  • Volkan "sociablEE" Yönal
  • Vakaris "vakk" Bebravičius

Team Liquid Form

Team Liquid picked up a massive victory against GIANTX in the lower bracket round 2. They won the match with 13-8 on Fracture and 13-6 on Split, showing a significantly better performance compared to what they showed in the upper bracket or event in the first round of the lower bracket.

Kamo was the star player of the day, posting a 1.30 performance rating ahead of Keiko, who averaged 1.20.

It was Liquid’s first good game Team Liquid have managed this season, and while one good game is not a good enough indication that Liquid are improving, it is a good sign.

Team Liquid Squad & Team News

No roster changes for Team Liquid.

  • Georgio "Keiko" Sanassy
  • Kamil "kamo" Frąckowiak
  • Maks "kamyk" Rychlewski
  • Patryk "paTiTek" Fabrowski

Verdict

After a couple of rough showings, Team Liquid stepped up and humiliated GAINTX in the previous round of the lower bracket, which is a highly inspiring sign. Liquid already had a decent roster, but they could not make it work at the start – and it seems like they’ve figured some things out.

I would not overreact to one good game, but Liquid have shown they can perform. BBL Esports, on the other side, have looked decent so far, but nothing exceptional. This is a 50/50 match.
