The German squad won their first match of the Major against Passion UA (13-9) but slipped against FlyQuest (5-13) in the second round. That loss does not look pretty, but one poor showing should not be a reason for concern.

Virtus.pro made it to the third round of Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 with a 7-13 loss to MIBR in the first round and a confident 13-4 victory against Rare Atom in the second round. Beating Rare Atom is not a massive accomplishment, but it is also fair to say that losing to MIBR is not too concerning.

Petr "fame" Bolyshev was by far the top-performing player of the day, posting an incredible 1.90 rating and 20-8 KD.

Seeing VP run over RA on Anubis is not shocking, as it is one of their best maps. Likewise, VP's loss on Ancient against MIBR mostly has to do with their weak map pool.
