Fnatic have finalised their Counter-Strike roster on Saturday, with the arrival of a new head coach, Peter "casle" Ardenskjold and assistant coach, Miks "Independent" Siliņš.

Casle's arrival was revealed just a day after Fnatic confirmed the signing of Rodion "fear" Smyk and Denys "Burmylov" Buraga, who replaced Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro and Tim "nawwk" Jonasson.

The 38-year-old Dane joins Fnatic as a replacement for former head coach Jamie "keita" Hall, who was let go from the Black & Orange camp following an early elimination from Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

That, however, was not the only disappointing tournament performance Fnatic produced in 2024.

Ranked no.28 in the world, Fnatic struggled to find much consistency this past season, with just two tournament titles from B-Tier tournaments, RES European Series #1 and #6. In bigger events, their only notable result was a runner-up finish at FiReLEAGUE Global Final 2023.

With a new duo joining the lineup and casle taking over the reins, the UK-based organisation can feel hopeful that the 2025 season will be more successful.

Casle joins Fnatic as an experienced coach, who started his coaching career in 2020 with Team Singularity before joining MASONIC and Astralis.

Initially, casle served as head coach of Astralis Talent but was promoted to the main lineup in October 2022 following the departure of Martin "trace" Heldt.

As head coach of Astralis, casle made the semifinals at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023 and CS Asia Championships 2023 but was let go from the Danish Counter-Strike team after their results dwindled down towards the end of the season.

Casle spent most of the last season with Gaimin Gladiators, with who he made several semifinals in lower-division tournaments, including CCT Season 2 European Series #11, Galaxy Battle #4, and Winline Insight Season 6.

The Danish coach will make his debut for Fnatic at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier, which is set to start on Tuesday, January 14.

Fnatic will play their first match of the tournament on the opening day, when they face off against the reigning Major champions, Team Spirit.
