Complexity Gaming have finalised their Counter-Strike 2 roster with the addition of Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk and Nick "nicx" Lee. The North American duo joined the team on Thursday, filling in the gaps left by recent departures.
Complexity have made significant roster changes this offseason and will enter the 2025 season with a revamped roster.
On January 1, the North American outfit waved goodbye to a long-standing member, Ricky "floppy" Kemery and on Wednesday, announced the departure of their star played, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, who has since joined FaZe Clan.
To fill in the voids, Complexity brought in a local duo, nicx and cxzi, who've spent most of their careers competing in the North American CS scene.
Cxzi joins Complexity as a fairly experienced player. The 24-year-old started his esports career in 2018 and has since played for over a dozen teams.
Most recently, cxzi was a member of Joshua "steel" Nissan's squad, Undone, with who he won ESL Challenger League Season 48 Relegation: North America and helped the team qualify for ESL Challenger League Season 49: North America.
Over the 12 games played for Undone, cxzi has averaged a 1.13 performance rating and played a key role for Undone at the ESL Challenger League, where he posted a 1.27 rating over the 10 maps played.
His new teammate, nicx is a far less experienced player. He started his Counter-Strike career in September 2021 and has since played for a few notable squads in the region.
He spent a year with LAG, with who he won Fragadelphia CS/DO 2024 in March and added another trophy in late November at NA Revival Series #4.
Throughout his stay with LAG, nicx has averaged an impressive 1.12 performance rating, which caught the attention of other North American squads, including Nouns, with who the 20-year-old recently trialled before deciding to join Complexity.
The major roster overhaul followed a turbulent run through the 2024 season, which saw Complexity produce unexceptional results in international competitions, including an early exit from the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
Currently ranked no.16 in the world, Complexity will debut their new Counter-Strike roster at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025: Closed Qualifier, which is set to start on January 14, 2025.
The North American outfit have also recently been invited to participate at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025 on January 29 – February 9, where they'll begin their quest for the title in the first stage.
