Following the conclusion of the second stage of ESL Pro League Season 21 on Tuesday, March 11, ESL announced the playoff bracket, revealing the first four quarterfinal fixtures, as eight Counter-Strike 2 teams begin their quest to hoist the coveted trophy and the lion’s share of the $400,000 prize pool.

ESL Pro League Season 21 playoffs will kick off on Thursday, March 13, 2025, with best-of-three quarterfinals as the top eight teams continue their journey through the first ESL Pro League event of the season.

The playoffs will welcome eight squads who fought their way through the Swiss Stage, and the list does not feature many surprises, as all of the top-rated squads made it to the final stage.

The only exception are PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 finalists, Team Falcons, who slipped in the fifth round of Stage 2 against Eternal Fire and will now have a chance to contest their first S-Tier trophy of the year.

The playoff stage will feature all six of the world's top-rated teams, including Team Spirit, Team Vitality, Natus Vincere, Eternal Fire, G2 Esports, and The MongolZ. World no.8 MOUZ and no.12 Team Liquid will also participate.

ESL Pro League Season 12 will kick off with a clash between world no.1 Team Spirit and Eternal Fire on Thursday, March 13, at 15:45 local time. MOUZ and G2 Esports will clash later that day, concluding the opening day of the playoffs.

On Friday, March 14, The MongolZ will take on Natus Vincere ahead of an exciting affair between Team Vitality and Team Liquid.

According to the latest betting odds, three of the four ESL Pro League Season 21 playoff fixtures will be very one-sided, as Team Spirit, Team Vitality, and Natus Vincere enter their respective fixtures as heavy favourites.

MOUZ vs G2 Esports is billed as the most competitive of the quarterfinal games, with MOUZ priced as 1.60 favourites to defeat G2 Esports in their first clash of the season.

Placed in the lower side of the bracket, Team Spirit have the most straightforward road to the big stage, as they have to take on Eternal Fire and the winner of the MOUZ vs G2 Esports fixture.

On the other side of the bracket, Team Vitality are the leading candidates to reach the big stage. They’ll begin their journey with a clash against Team Liquid and face off against the winner of Natus Vincere vs The MonglZ.

The Vitality vs Spirit is the most likely grand final fixture, as the two teams have been performing better any any other squad in attendance.

Spirit boast the highest average rating, having posted 1.24 over the six maps played, slightly ahead of Team Vitality at 1.22. G2 Esports and Natus Vincere are tied for third at 1.12.

Vitality and Spirit players also occupy four of the top five spots on the average performance rating standings. Donk leads the way with 1.74, ahead of ZywOo at 1.49. G2 Esports’ m0NESY sits in third at 1.47, ahead of sh1ro (1.35) and ropz at 1.31.
