On Wednesday, Complexity announced the departure of their anchor, Ricky “floppy” Kemery, who leaves the North American Counter-Strike team after spending nearly a month on the bench.

The 25-year-old’s departure ends his nearly three-year-long stint with Complexity, who floppy joined in January 2022 as a part of Complexity’s acquisition of Extra Salt, alongside Paytyn “junior” Johnson, Ioannis 'Johnny' "JT" Theodosiou, and Michael “Grim” Wince.

Throughout his three-year stay with Complexity, floppy has attended a plethora of significant events, including four Majors - PGL Major Antwerp 2022, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, and Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

Unfortunately, floppy and co. have not once come close to winning the prestigious trophy and have just one LAN trophy to show for - the ESL Challenger Jönköping in the summer of 2024.

The recently finished 2024 season was not too fruitful for Compexity who have not managed more than one tournament title. Besides the title run in Sweden, they made some noise with a semi-final run at ESL Pro League Season 19, marking their only other top-four finish of the year.

After ending the year with an early elimination from Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 with losses against FlyQuest, Passion UA, and BIG, Complexity opted to make some roster changes - they released coach James “JamezIRL” Macaulay and now officially parted ways with floppy who got benched on December 11.

Further reports suggest that Complexity will also wave goodbye to Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, who is set to join FaZe Clan as a replacement for Robin "ropz" Kool

As a result, Complexity will be down to just three active players in the coming weeks and have yet to announce who will fill in the two voids.

Meanwhile, it is still unclear where floppy will end up as he enters the offseason as a free agent, available for new offers.
