Fnatic vs OG Predictions

Fnatic and OG will face off on Monday, March 10, in the fourth round of CCT Season 2 European Series #20, marking their second clash of the season. Fnatic won the first meeting during Series #16, and they are expected to do it again.

The previous meeting was very competitive and could've easily ended either way, so even though Fnatic won, that does not guarantee they will do as well this Monday. The teams look evenly matched quality-wise, and they have posted similar results of late.

I expect to see another competitive affair, which can easily extend to three maps.

  • Fnatic won against OG last time out
  • OG are in solid form
  • This should be a close and competitive game

Head to Head

Fnatic and OG last met in the first round of CCT Season 2 European Series #16, when Fnatic won.

  • Fnatic 2-0 OG – January 20, 2025

Fnatic Form

Fnatic have been trying to find some traction since the turn of the year, but they've yet to show anything noteworthy. The Black & Orange have attended four tournaments this season and never placed higher than ninth-16th, which includes two early eliminations from CCT Season 2 European Series #17 and Series #18.

Something is clearly not clicking in this team, and more roster changes are likely around the corner. Fnatic lack consistency, and their map pool is not great either; granted, Fnatic do hold a positive win rate on Inferno (56%), Nuke (62%), and Train (86%).

Fnatic Squad & Team News

No roster changes for Fnatic.

  • Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
  • Rodyon "fear" Smyk
  • Denis "Burmylov" Buraga

OG Form

OG have recently added Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi to the roster, and they've since looked much better than earlier in the season. While OG have yet to win a tournament, they cruised through CCT Season 2 European Series #20 Play-In and have recently put together some notable wins against ENCE, SINNERS Esports, and Passion UA.

Nicoodoz is a significant factor in OG's recent resurgence, and if the Dane can keep performing at the same level, OG will be tough to stop for Fnatic, or at the very least, Fnatic will have a harder time beating OG for the third time this season.

Compared to Fnatic, OG boast a better map pool, with a positive win rate on all maps but Train – which OG regularly ban.

OG Squad & Team News

OG have not announced any changes.

  • Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard
  • Christian Møss "Buzz" Andersen
  • Olle "spooke" Grundström
  • Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi

Verdict

Fnatic won against OG last time out, but they're not set to face an improved version of OG, who should fare much better than they did in January. Since the arrival of nicoodoz, OG have been posting more promising results, and while they still have a long way to go, OG should not be priced as underdogs.

This should be a competitive affair, but I am leaning more towards OG, who are hard to pass on at 2.75.
