This was a fairly disappointing finish for the Brazilian lineup, who’ve shown very high highs this season, namely with a top-four finish in the Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024.

But outside of their run in Rio, FURIA have not shown much since June when they placed top four at YaLla Compass 2024, yet even that is hardly inspiring given the level of competition FURIA had to face.

While a capable team, FURIA are one of the more overrated teams heading into Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

GamerLegion have not found much success this season. Like FURIA, they barely qualified for the Major, with a seventh-place finish in the European RMR A. And like FURIA, GL have found some success earlier this season, with three silver medals from CCT Season 2 European Series #10-#12.

On a more positive note, GamerLegion are in solid form, having won 11 of their last 16 outings against teams of similar quality to FURIA Esports. So, it is fair to expect them to do fairly well on Saturday.

FURIA Esports v GamerLegion

FURIA look like the superior team on paper, but that is mainly due to their success earlier this season. Yet that means very little for this fixture, as FURIA have shown hardly much more than GamerLegion in their recent outings.

At best FURIA should be priced as 1.70 favourites due to their high ceiling and not 1.45, which overestimates them a bit. Take GamerLegion to upset the Brazilian squad.
