Metizport have announced a new Counter-Strike lineup for the 2025 esports season, featuring two new faces, Hampus "hampus" Poser and Isak "isak" Fahlén.

Hampus and isak replace Casper "SHiNE" Wennerberg and Linus "nilo" Bergman, with the former moved to the bench and the latter acquired by "an undisclosed organisation".

Besides announcing the arrival of two new players, Metizport also revealed that Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzales Zamora has signed a contract which ties him with the team until summer 2026.

With Hampus and Isak joining, they bring experience and structure to create an identity that complements each other. With a healthy mix of hunger and ambition, I believe this group has the potential to perform at a high level. The focus now is on refining the details and continuing to build a strong foundation for long-term success

The recent roster changes follow a shaky run through the last season, as Metizport struggled to find much consistency.

They won just four tournaments over the 12 months, while their best placement was third-fourth at BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2024 in March. However, things are looking up for the Swedish outfit.

Hampus is the headline signing, joining Metizport as a highly experienced in-game leader.

The 26-year-old started his career in 2015 but is mainly known for his three-year-long tenure with Ninjas in Pyjamas, with who he reached the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 quarterfinals and won Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Fall: Europe.

After leaving Ninjas in Pyjamas in late 2023, hampus joined BLEED Esports and initially saw some success. However, the squad, under the guidance of Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunović, never broke into the upper echelons of the CS esports scene before the controversial disbandment in October.

His new teammate, isak, joins Metizport following a rough stint with Ninjas in Pyjamas, who he joined in May 2024.

Over the seven months, the 23-year-old has managed an underwhelming 0.96 performance rating, as NiP struggled to win anything noteworthy, leading to a complete roster overhaul and isak's departure to Metizport.

Hampus and isak will link up with Plopski and Lucas "L00m1" Haukland, who joined the team midway through 2024, and Adam "adamb" Ångström, who has been with Metizport since September 2023.

Ranked 37 in the world, Metizport will not attend the upcoming BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 but will debut their new lineup at a local online tournament, Subway Suberior League Season 3, which is set to begin on January 18, 2025.
