Passion UA, like MIBR, are a surprise appearance at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. However, they earned their spot in Shanghai with solid performances in the European RMR, where the Ukrainians beat Spirit, Virtus.pro, and Astralis.

Even at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, Passion UA have done well, with a competitive loss against BIG (9-13) and a 13-9 victory against Complexity in the second round.

MIBR v Passion UA

Passion UA are in excellent form, and their loss to BIG does not change the fact that they've been playing well over the last few weeks. Likewise, MIBR have shown some good things of late and should be capable of putting up a fight on Sunday.

Map pool-wise, MIBR are better on Nuke and Ancient, whereas Passion UA have a better win rate on Anubis, Vertigo, Inferno, Mirage, and Dust 2 – granted sub-50% on the latter two.

As the esports betting odds suggest, this should be a very competitive game and it is hard to argue with it. With Anubis likely picked for Sunday's affair, we can safely expect the map to extend past 22 rounds.
