FURIA have not looked good this season, and even that might be an understatement. They did make it through the ESL Pro League Season 21 play-in stage, yet their performances have left a lot to be desired, putting a massive question mark above the Brazilians and their chances of doing well in Stage 2.

MOUZ enter ESL Pro League Season 21 as PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 champions, which alone indicates they can perform. While they had a rough start to the year, MOUZ have found traction last month and should be viewed as one of the main candidates to compete for the title.

MOUZ enter ESL Pro League Season 21 straight after winning PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025. It was a debut tournament for Spinx, who joined MOUZ earlier this year, and he proved he has fit in well with the team, ending the event with a very solid 1.13 performance rating.

MOUZ did not look as good earlier in the season, but they seem to have figured things out and are poised for another deep run at ESL Pro League Season 21. This tournament will also be a perfect opportunity for MOUZ to show whether their run at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 was a fluke.

FURIA Form

FURIA managed to fight their way into ESL Pro League Season 21 Stage 2 by the skin of their teeth. The Brazilians started the first stage with a 1-2 record but turned things around with back-to-back 2-1 victories against NRG and M80.

While they deserve recognition for making it this far, FURIA should’ve lost to NRG. On a more positive note, FURIA looked much better against M80, who they beat with 13-6 on Mirage and 13-5 on Anubis.

That success, however, means very little, as MOUZ are a huge step up in competition and a much tougher opponent to anything FURIA have faced so far this event.

Verdict

MOUZ v FURIA

FURIA have done well to make it this far, but their run through Stage 1 was anything but inspiring and should’ve ended way sooner than it did. They’re not up against a team who, last month, won a Big Event, beating some of the world’s best Counter-Strike 2 teams. That alone should be a good indication of how the balance of power looks.

MOUZ looked a bit shaky earlier in the season, but they seem to have figured things out and should not struggle against FURIA this Friday.
