MOUZ are billed as slight favourites, having shown more stable results during the second stage of the tournament. They bested FURIA, Falcons, and Team Liquid, whereas G2 Esports had an easier path, beating paiN, SAW, and GamerLegion.
Despite the fact that G2 Esports had an easier schedule, they should not be underestimated for this series, considering G2 Esports tend to shift into a higher gear in the knockout stages. So even though MOUZ should be slightly favoured, it is hard not to back G2 Esports at 2.30 to walk away victorious.
Head to Head
MOUZ and G2 Esports have yet to meet this season.
MOUZ Form
MOUZ entered ESL Pro League Season 21 as one of the teams to watch, as they recently won PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 without any major problems. That, however, was their first notable tournament run of the season, after early eliminations from BLAST Premier Spring 2025 and Intel Extreme Masters 2025.
Moreover, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 did not feature many of the world’s top teams, so MOUZ’s success in Romania can be taken with a pinch of salt.
At ESL Pro League, MOUZ have looked solid. They ended the second stage with a 3-1 record, having beaten FURIA (2-1), Team Falcons (2-0), and Team Liquid (2-0). They, however, were no match for Team Vitality (0-2).
Throughout the tournament, MOUZ have averaged a 1.09 performance rating (fifth-highest), and much of it is thanks to torzsi and xertioN, who are the top-performing players on the team, with 1.18 and 1.12 performance ratings, respectively.
The remaining three players are all at 1.06 or below, including the recent addition, Spinx, who has averaged 1.06.
MOUZ Squad & Team News
MOUZ have not announced any roster changes.
- Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás
- Dorian "xertioN" Berman
- Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo
- Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin
- Lotan "Spinx" Giladi
G2 Esports Form
Even though G2 Esports are priced as underdogs, this is a winnable match for them, especially if we see more from m0NESY, who is the tournament’s third-highest-rated player, averaging a 1.47 performance rating. His teammate, malbsMd is not too far behind, at 1.21.
Throughout ESL Pro League Season 21, G2 Esports have looked a bit rougher than expected. They slipped against The MongolZ (1-2) and were no match for Natus Vincere (2-0), but dominated paiN, SAW, and GamerLegion.
The losses against two other top-tier teams are not too convincing, but G2 Esports tend to step up in the playoffs, so a better performance is to be expected this Thursday.
G2 Esports Squad & Team News
No roster changes for G2 Esports.
- Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
- Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
- Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa
- Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski
- Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko
Verdict
MOUZ are priced as favourites for this match, and while this sounds right, they should not carry the tag of 1.60 favourites. This gives MOUZ a 62.5% implied probability of beating G2 Esports, which, despite G2’s recent slip-ups, is way too high.
G2 are an elite team that not long ago made the semifinals of BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 and have shown they can compete at the top level. Admittedly, their results have not been as great as expected, but MOUZ have not done well against other top-tier teams either.
This is a 50/50 match at best, so I’ll happily take G2 Esports at 2.30.
