Both teams have managed one win from their first two games in Sweden. PaiN Gaming lost to G2 Esports and bested GamerLegion, whereas Natus Vincere lost to SAW and edged past TYLOO.

Considering the results, it is hard to justify the latest betting odds, which have NaVi priced as heavy favourites.

PaiN Gaming enter this match with a 4-3 record from their last seven. The Brazilian outfit did not look great during the first stage of ESL Pro League Season 21, where they lost to M80 and FlyQuest and bested Housebets, Lynn Vision Gaming and Nemiga Gaming – needing three maps in the latter two.

In the second stage, paiN Gaming have not shown significant improvement. They lost their first match against G2 Esports (0-2) but managed to make it past GamerLegion (2-1).

PaiN Gaming are not in the best shape, and they do not appear as serious title contenders, failing to show the same level of performance they had earlier this year and in late 2024. However, like paiN, NaVi are not at 100%.

Natus Vincere Form

Natus Vincere had a very promising start to the 2025 Counter-Strike 2 season. They placed in the top four at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 and made the semifinals at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025.

Since the turn of the year, NaVi have played 10 games and won all but three – two against Team Spirit and one against SAW. They have, however, beaten Imperial Female, Astralis, paiN Gaming, FURIA, Spirit, The MongolZ, and more recently, TYLOO.

Not the worst start to the year; however, their showings at ESL Pro League Season 21, so far, have been rather underwhelming. NaVi dropped against SAW (1-2), and they needed a reverse sweep to defeat TYLOO.

PaiN Gaming v Natus Vincere

Natus Vincere should be favoured to defeat paiN Gaming. They won against the Brazilians once before this season and have shown much higher highs this season. However, that does not take away from the fact that NaVi have not looked great across the last two outings.

The big question here is whether paiN Gaming can find their old form and perform at the level we can expect of them. However, we know what this squad is capable of and considering NaVi's recent struggles, it is fair to explore options to back the underdogs to take a map at 1.80.
