Rogue vs G2 Esports Predictions
After a dominating win over GIANTX, G2 Esports will face off against Rogue on Saturday, February 1, in the final week of League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) Winter 2025. Despite their early struggles, G2 Esports look poised to add another victory to their resume.

The dominant victory against GIANTX in the final round of LEC Winter 2025 could be an indication that G2 Esports have woken up, but one good game does not prove anything. That is despite the fact that G2 Esports, with their roster, should be playing much better and should, with time, find more traction.
They have looked a bit suspect this split, and until G2 Esports start posting good performances consistently, I will continue to doubt them. On the other side, we have Rogue, who have looked simply rough, so much that it is hard to feel too optimistic about them and their chances to do well.
That said, the kill handicap line here is set at nine kills, which is an absurd number regardless of which two teams play, especially considering it involves G2 Esports, who rarely cover huge kill spreads.
- Rogue are in a very rough spot
- G2 Esports rarely cover huge kill handicaps
- Rogue should lose, but not by more than nine kills
Head to Head
Rogue and G2 Esports have yet to meet with their current rosters.
Rogue Form
Rogue enter the final week of LEC Winter 2025, looking like one of the bottom two teams in the league. They've been awful over the first two weeks, and while they have shown some signs of life, their overall performances leave a lot to be desired.
I was optimistic about what this roster can do, but six games in, they've done nothing but disappoint with questionable individual performances and even worse team play. They still belong in the LEC level, but Rogue are more towards the bottom of the table.
Rogue Squad & Team News
Rogue have not made any roster changes.
- Adam "Adam" Maanane – top lane
- Kim "Malrang" Geun-seong – jungle
- Emil "Larssen" Larsson – mid lane
- Patrik "Patrik" Jírů – ADC
- Lee "Execute" Jeong-hoon – support
G2 Esports Form
G2 Esports have not found much traction this split and have been playing poorly in the majority of their six games so far. The only exception was a complete stop of GIANTX in the second week of LEC Winter 2025.
That victory should inspire some confidence; some may consider it a good sign that G2 Esports are back and ready to perform. While this might be true, one good game over a stretch of six proves nothing.
G2 Esports Squad & Team News
No changes for G2 Esports.
- Sergen "BrokenBlade" Çelik – top lane
- Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan – jungle
- Rasmus "Caps" Winther – mid lane
- Steven "Hans Sama" Liv – ADC
- Labros "Labrov" Papoutsakis – support
Verdict
Considering how Rogue have been playing, G2 Esports should win this game, even if they do not perform as well as they did against GIANTX last week. However, even then, it is hard to believe that they will cover the kill handicap.
There are two reasons for this. If G2 Esports haven't improved, this will be a scrappy affair, in which G2 are highly unlikely to win with more than nine kills to spare. If, however, G2 Esports are back, there is a high likelihood that they will play around as they usually do, again leading to a lower kill lead.
