T1 vs Gen.G Predictions

Following a humiliating loss to OKSavingsBank BRION, Gen.G looked more like themselves in their 2-0 trashing of DN Freecs on Saturday, suggesting they should have an easy time beating T1, who have not reached the same heights this season.
However, while Gen.G should be short favourites, 1.40 is pushing it a bit, making T1 a far more appealing bet.
Even though Gen.G have had higher highs this season, T1 are not significantly weaker, and they have a side choice for this game, which bumps them up a bit even more.
- Both teams are in good shape
- T1 have side choice
- This is a T1 or pass game
Head to Head
T1 and Gen.G have yet to meet this season.
T1 Form
T1 have managed three wins from their last four outings in LCK Cup 2025, which include victories against DRX (2-0), KT Rolster (2-1), and Nongshim RedForce (2-0). In their most recent game, against RedForce T1 also had to play with Sin "Smash" Guem-jae as a replacement for Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyung and still won, which is a strong testament to this team's quality.
Actually, T1 have not been bad this season. Despite the top lane change, T1 have been performing well, as their only loss came against the surging Dplus KIA, whereas T1 looked great in the three wins.
Stats-wise, they are up there with Gen.G as the league's best early-game team, averaging a 1936 gold difference at 15 minutes and 1919 gold per minute. Even their neutral objective ranks them 1st-2nd in the league, proving that T1 are still the same T1 who will threaten the LCK trophy.
T1 Squad & Team News
T1 have not made any roster changes. Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyung will return to the starting lineup.
- Choi "Doran" Hyeon-jun – top lane
- Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun – jungle
- Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok – mid lane
- Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyung – ADC
- Ryu "Keria" Min-seok – support
Gen.G Form
Gen.G picked themselves up after a tough loss against OKSavingsBank BRION and crushed DN Freecs, proving that their previous defeat was nothing but a bump in the road. Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon, in particular, looked much better in the latter game.
Even with the loss to BRION, Gen.G have some of the league's top performance metrics, even better than T1. They only trail in gold difference pre-20 minutes but rank 1st across all metrics except for Baron Control (62.5%) compared to T1's 80%.
Evidently an elite team, but more importantly, Gen.G are not significantly better than T1.
Gen.G Squad & Team News
No roster changes for Gen.G.
- Kim "Kiin" Ki-in – top lane
- Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu – jungle
- Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon – mid lane
- Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk – ADC
- Joo "Duro" Min-kyu – support
Verdict
Gen.G have had higher highs this season, and they have better performance metrics than T1, but the differences are marginal and non-important, especially considering we've seen the team play only four games this season.
A bigger factor here is that T1 will have side choices, which bumps them up quite a lot. This season, the blue side has over 60% win rate in LCK, so whatever advantage Gen.G might have should be nullified by that.
Gen.G should be slight favourites, but they should not be priced at 1.40. T1 are an obvious pick.
