Team BDS vs Rogue Predictions
Team BDS and Rogue will face off on Monday, January 20, in the final round of the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) 2025 Winter. Both teams have won one of their first two series, as they look to double their points on Monday.

Rogue enter this match off a shaky performance against Team Heretics, which they arguably should've lost. Team BDS, on the other side, got smashed by Team Vitality on the first day but picked up a massive victory agianst G2 Esports on Sunday.
While seeing Team BDS beat G2 is promising, we have to note that BDS won on the back of a massive throw from the reigning LEC champions, so that win does not prove much besides that G2 Esports are shaky.
The market has severely overreacted to BDS's shock victory, pricing the French squad as massive favourites. That makes no sense, making Rogue a clear pick in my book.
- Team BDS benefited from G2 Esports' throw
- Rogue have been a bit up and down across the first two days
- Rogue are priced as underdogs, which is wrong
Head to Head
Rogue and Team BDS have yet to meet this season.
Team BDS Form
Team BDS kicked off the LEC 2025 Winter split with a crushing loss against Team Vitality, but they went against all the odds and picked up a massive victory against G2 Esports on Sunday.
The win against G2 Esports looks great on BDS' resume, but it does not prove they're a good team. They showed nothing of note on that day and won only thanks to G2 Esports' very rough showing – BDS just picked up a free win.
Despite being essentially gifted the victory, the market overreacted to BDS' "success", pricing them as massive favourites for this match. That makes no sense.
Team BDS Squad & Team News
Team BDS have made no new changes.
- Joel "Irrelevant" Scharoll – top lane
- Doğukan "113" Balcı – jungle
- Ilias "nuc" Bizriken – mid lane
- Yoon "Ice" Sang-hoon – ADC
- Polat "Parus" Çiçek – support
Rogue Form
Rogue have looked better than expected this season. Admittedly, two games are not enough to make any conclusions, but Rogue have shown fine performances.
They bested Team Heretics on the first day of the season, but were no match for GIANTX on Sunday. The latter game was very winnable, and I would argue Rogue were 80% on the way there, before they threw the game away and gifted GIANTX the win.
Similarly to how the market overreacted to BDS's victory against G2 Esports, it overreacted to Rogue's throw against GIANTX. Rogue were the better team on the day.
Rogue Squad & Team News
Rogue have made no changes.
- Adam "Adam" Maanane – top lane
- Kim "Malrang" Geun-seong – jungle
- Emil "Larssen" Larsson – mid lane
- Patrik "Patrik" Jírů – ADC
- Lee "Execute" Jeong-hoon – support
Verdict
Team BDS are healthy favourites for this match, which is mainly due to their victory against G2 Esports on Sunday. However, the eye test would prove that that win means nothing, as BDS got there purely off G2 Esports' throw.
Likewise, Rogue's loss against GIANTX was due to Rogue's mistake, which cost them a perfect record.
While I would not say Rogue are substantially better than Team BDS, the two teams are equal at best. As such, I have no issues backing Rogue at outsider odds.
