Team Heretics vs Fnatic Predictions
Team Heretics will look to build on the momentum on Monday, January 20, when they face off against Fnatic on the final day of the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) 2025 Winter. However, despite their ambitions, this will be a tough game to win.

Following an abysmal start to the season, Fnatic crushed Team Vitality on Sunday, proving that their loss against Movistar KOI on day one was nothing more than a small setback. Team Heretics, on the other side, suffered an unfortunate loss against Rogue on day one, but showed a much better performance against SK on Sunday.
This looks like Fnatic's game to lose. They're a far superior team, fielding one of the most stacked rosters in Europe; however, it is hard to justify backing the Black & Orange at this price.
We're early into the season, which typically means more volatile games, and as shown across the first two days, that is definitely the case. A smaller position on Heretics at these numbers is a no-brainer pick.
- Fnatic are clear favourites to win
- Team Heretics have held on well so far
- Fnatic should win, but they're a bit overrated
Head to Head
This will mark the first meeting between Fnatic and Team Heretics of 2025.
Team Heretics Form
Team Heretics should have won their first match of the split against Rogue, but they shot themselves in the foot and gifted the win. Following the crushing loss, Heretics showed up on Sunday and delivered against SK Gaming as betting underdogs.
However, there is not much to take away from Heretics' recent victory. They played fine League of Legends and were the better team on the day. Does that make them one of the title contenders? Far from it, but they are playing well and better than expected.
Team Heretics Squad & Team News
No changes for Team Heretics.
- Carl "Carlsen" Carlsen – top lane
- Théo "Sheo" Borile – jungle
- Kamil "Kamiloo" Haudegond – mid lane
- Victor "Flakked" Lirola – ADC

Fnatic Form
Fnatic kicked off the season with a humiliating loss against Movistar KOI, but they got back on their feet very quickly, demolishing Team Vitality on Sunday.
It was a dominant showing from Fnatic and a good indication of how high this team can fly. But it is easy to overreact to one good game, so I would not put too much weight on Week 1 results.
This does not mean that Fnatic seemed better than they can be. On the contrary, Fnatic seem to have all the tools they need to win the league, but we are still so early into the new split and new meta that you should ask yourself whether the favourites should really be favoured by a significant amount.
At 1.35 on Stake, Fnatic are almost guaranteed to win on Monday. While somewhat fair, no team should be favoured by that much so early into the new season.
Fnatic Squad & Team News
Fnatic have made no changes.
- Oscar "Oscarinin" Munoz – top lane
- Ivan"Razork" Martin – jungle
- Marek "Humanoid" Brazda– mid lane
- Elias "Upset" Lipp – ADC
- Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle – support
Verdict
Team Heretics will not be moving any mountains this season. They have proven to be a competitive team, that just might place top-six by the end of LEC 2025 Winter.
On the other side, Fnatic will aim for nothing less than the LEC trophy, and rightly so. However, while they have the players to accomplish that feat, the Black & Orange have given us one dominant game and one very shaky showing, so by that logic, they're 50/50 to lay an egg on Monday.
I would not count on that happening, but I will take Team Heretics with a kill advantage. At this point of the season, no team should be favoured by that much.
