Team Vitality and MOUZ will face off on Sunday, March 9, in round 3 of ESL Pro League Season 21 Stage 2. With both teams entering the match with a 2-0 record, they will fight for a direct invite to the playoffs, and with little to separate them, this promises to be an exciting affair.

Team Vitality enter this match off two wins against MIBR and 3DMAX, whereas MOUZ had to make it past FURIA and Team Falcons to set themselves up for a Round 3 high matches. Both teams produced one shaky result against two Brazilian outfits but looked solid in their second-round fixture.

Form-wise, there is very little to separate them; quality-wise, you can argue that MOUZ are up there with Vitality. Yet, you can find Vitality priced as favourites on all of the top crypto betting sites, which is hard to justify.

MOUZ have proven enough to believe they can dance with the world's best Counter-Strike 2 teams, and at 2.62, they're a very appealing outsider bet.

Team Vitality enter the third round of ESL Pro League Season 21 Stage 2 in excellent form. They've played 10 games so far this season and won all but one – against Eternal Fire in the first round of BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, when they lost 0-2.

Since then, Vitality have strung together seven straight wins against 3DMAX, FaZe Clan, Virtus.pro, The MongolZ, Team Spirit, and two in the first two rounds of ESL Pro League – against MIBR and 3DMAX.

The Bees needed a reverse sweep to make it past MIBR (2-1), but they performed much better against 3DMAX, whom they beat 13-5 on Train and 13-7 on Dust II.

MOUZ Form

MOUZ have played 13 games since the start of the season but only 10 since adding Lotan "Spinx" Giladi to the active lineup.

Over those 10 games, MOUZ won eight against BIG, 3DMAX, Virtus.pro, paiN Gaming, Team Falcons, and Astralis, and two during ESL Pro League Season 21 – against FURIA and Team Falcons.

MOUZ kicked off the tournament with a 2-1 victory against FURIA in a match which could've easily ended the other way, as MOUZ closed it out with 13-11 on Nuke. But like Vitality, MOUZ looked much better in the second round, where they ran over Team Falcons with 13-7 on Train and 13-9 on Nuke.

Admittedly, MOUZ's schedule looks a bit softer than Vitality's, but that is no reason to have them billed as underdogs.

Verdict

Team Vitality v MOUZ

This is a clash between two elite Counter-Strike 2 teams who have already proven they can perform at the highest level. They both had a slow start to ESL Pro League Season 21 but performed better in their more recent outing, proving they are in solid shape.

Bookmakers have Vitality priced as favourites, which would make sense, but not at this number. MOUZ are the reigning PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 champions, and they are in good shape. So, at the very least, you can expect a competitive game from them.

At outsider odds, I'll gladly take a stab at MOUZ.
