Team Vitality will lock horns with Team BDS on Saturday, January 18, in the first round of the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) 2025 Winter, when both teams will showcase their new rosters featuring a handful of rookies.

Both teams were volatile last season, and looking at the roster changes they've made, things likely will not change. A bigger concern with Vitality in 2024 was their poor macro and the all-over-the-place approach to their games. Whether they have managed to improve in that department remains to be seen, but they should be stabler heading into the new season.

Team BDS made some weird changes to their lineup, adding even more volatility to what they showed in 2024. And while things might work out, BDS are the most unpredictable team heading into the 2025 season.

Team Vitality added two rookie players for the 2025 LoL esports season, yet they are both very exciting prospects, which should make Team Vitality an exciting team to watch.

While adding two rookies brings up a few questions, including how quickly they will adapt to a new life in the LEC, Vitality started scrimming very early in the offseason so that they will enter LEC 2025 Winter warmed up and ready to show what they are capable of.

Team Vitality added two new players this offseason, rookies Kaan "Naak Nako" Okan and Mateusz "Czajek" Czajka.

Team BDS Form

Team BDS made some weird roster changes this offseason. While it makes sense to replace their top laner to introduce more stability, they went right back to it with the addition of 113, who is an extremely volatile jungler.

Moreover, Team BDS lost their star support and replaced him with a rookie, which is a bold move and does not help with finding more stability. Oddly, Team BDS were a scary team in 2024 and had the potential to develop, yet they are now starting fresh with a new identity.

Things could work out, but overall, BDS seem to have downgraded their roster.

Team Vitality v Team BDS

Of the two teams, Team BDS look like the safer pick on paper, as they field more proven players rather than rookies in key positions. This should give them an edge over Team Vitality, but only in theory.

While there is no telling how Vitality's rookies will do, they have started scrimming early into the offseason, giving them enough time to gel and get ready for LEC 2025 Winter. This does not change the fact that Vitality might need more time, but on the other side, I do not trust Team BDS, who look very volatile.
