Chinese esports organisation Weibo Gaming announced their first foray into the Rainbow Six Siege esports scene with a new roster featuring former Elevate and Bleed Esports players.
Besides forming a fresh lineup, Weibo also announced a partnership with Ubisoft, joining the Affiliate Team program in the Asia Division of the Asia-Pacific League.
The new roster will include ex-Bleed Esports players Aldi "Hovenherst" Firmansyah, Taylor "Terdsta" Ching, and Wu "Reeps96" Weichen, while their former teammate, Patrick "MentalistC" Fan, will take over the role of assistant coach.
Rounding out the roster are Razaan "Ape" Adiprakasa and Yunos "SpeakEasy" Mohamed, who were teammates at Elevate Gaming, who released their entire lineup on March 2.
"The past five months have been one hell of a struggle, but I am glad we finally found a new home, along with some new talents," said Mentalist C on X.
Reeps96, MentalistC, and Hovenherst not only competed together under Bleed Esports but also appeared in Six Invitational 2025 in February with TEAM JOEL, where they placed last with a 0-4 record.
The lineup also included Terdsta, who made harmful comments on social media after the former Bleed Esports roster decided to part ways with him. However, he has since apologised for the comments, and it seems like the former Bleed core buried the hatchet.
The decision to combine former Bleed and Elevate players is a clear indication that Weibo Gaming intends to form a new Asian super team that can dominate the region and help the Chinese organisation leave a mark in another esports title.
Weibo are mostly known for their League of Legends team, which made the LoL World Championship 2023 grand finals. However, the Chinese organisation also have divisions in other titles. More recently, Weibo signed Street Fighter 6 champion Saul Leonardo "MenaRD" Mena ahead of Capcom Cup 11.
Weibo Gaming's new R6S roster will debut in the Asia League next season, which is set to begin in May.
