Atletico Madrid have the chance to reclaim top spot in the Spanish La Liga as they host Osasuna on Sunday.
The hosts are one of the in-form teams in Spain at the moment while the visitors are looking to hold on to their place in the top half. Antoine Griezmann has been in fine form lately and can be the key for the home side.

Real Madrid’s win over Valencia last weekend means Atletico Madrid have now dropped to second in the table, two points off the pace. However, they do have a game in hand and can return to the summit with a win on Sunday.
Atletico Madrid are one of the most in-form teams in Spain at the moment and have won their last 13 matches across all competitions. They beat Barcelona 2-1 in their previous La Liga fixture before earning a 1-0 Copa del Rey victory at Marbella last weekend.
Manager Diego Simeone has loosened the strings a little as Atletico Madrid look more attacking this season, with four of their last five home matches producing over 2.5 goals. They have also scored in both halves in three of their last five home matches while Griezmann has eight goals in as many matches across all competitions.
Osasuna Form
Osauna are barely holding on to 10th position in the La Liga table, with the likes of Celta Vigo and Rayo Vallecano breathing down their neck. They are coming off a 2-1 home defeat to Athletic Bilbao in their previous La Liga fixture.
The defeat to Athletic Bilbao extends Osasuna’s winless run to six matches in La Liga, although four of those fixtures have been draws. However, Vincente Moreno’s men will head into Sunday’s clash off the back of a 2-1 Copa del Rey victory over Segunda side Tenerife.
Beyond the win in Tenerife, Osasuna’s away form has been disappointing this season. They are winless in seven of their eight La Liga matches on the road, with a 4-0 defeat to champions Real Madrid among their results in that run.

Atletico Madrid have a great record in this fixture and have won 11 of the last 12 matches against Osasuna. Their only blemish in that run was a 4-1 home defeat back in May.
Verdict
Atletico Madrid appear locked in this season and will be extra motivated to get back at Osasuna for that defeat in May. They seem to provide more of an attacking threat these days and should score in both halves on Sunday while this clash is expected to produce over 2.5 goals.
