Bournemouth vs Liverpool Tips & Preview - Thrilling contest at the Vitality
- Bournemouth unbeaten in last 11 Premier League games.
- Liverpool top the league, despite recent UCL loss.
- Mohamed Salah is top scorer with 19 league goals this season.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool
Bournemouth will attempt to maintain their recent good form as they host Liverpool in the English Premier League on Saturday.
The Cherries have defied the odds lately but face a stern test against the leaders who are showing some good form at the moment. Both teams have plenty of attacking quality and are set to serve up a thrilling contest at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth Form
Bournemouth are currently one of the most in-form teams in the Premier League as they are unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League matches. They can now be considered genuine top four contenders as they sit just one point behind fourth placed Manchester City.
The hosts have been in fine form lately as they beat Newcastle United 4-1 before claiming a 5-0 victory over high-flying Nottingham Forest last time out. Forward Justin Kluivert has been pivotal to their fine showings with four goals across both matches.
Kluivert has become a key part of a dynamic Bournemouth attack that tends to come alive after the break with 11 of their last 14 Premier League goals coming in the second half. The Cherries have however struggled for clean sheets and have conceded in three of their last four matches across all competitions.
Liverpool Form
Liverpool are coming off a 3-2 defeat at PSV Eindhoven in a midweek Champions League clash, although it was a dead rubber for them and they featured a much changed squad. Prior to that clash, they had beaten Ipswich Town 4-1 last time out in the Premier League to go six points clear at the top and extend their unbeaten run in the league to 14 matches.
Those two results highlight a recent trend for Liverpool who have struggled for clean sheets lately. Arne Slot’s men are without a shutout in their last three matches across all competitions.
The positive for Liverpool is that their attack continues to deliver with five of their last eight Premier League away goals coming in the second half. Mohamed Salah remains a focal point of that attack and is already on 19 league goals this season.
Head to Head
Liverpool often dominate this fixture and have won 11 of the last 12 matches against Bournemouth. The Reds claimed a 3-0 home win in the reverse fixture back in September and also eased to a 4-0 victory on their last visit to the Vitality Stadium.
Verdict
Bournemouth have a poor record against Liverpool but look like a side full of confidence at the moment and can certainly make things difficult for the Reds on Sunday. Both attacks are expected to have their moments although given their knack for turning up after the break, the second half is likely to produce more goals.
There should be a number of scoring opportunities on Saturday and with a few of them likely to fall to Salah, the Liverpool forward is expected to find the net at the Vitality Stadium.
