The Friday night Italian Serie A fixture sees Parma host Lecce at the Stadio Ennio Tardini with both teams looking to ease away from the relegation zone.
Neither team has managed to find some consistency this season and are looking particularly erratic in recent matches. There is little to separate them at the moment and they appear set to battle to a stalemate.
Parma Form
Sitting 16th in the table, Parma are only outside the relegation zone due to a slightly superior goal difference. Fabio Pecchia's men were beaten 3-2 at AC Milan last time out to extend their winless run to four Serie A matches having suffered two defeats and played out two draws in that run.
The good news is that things are slightly better at home for Parma, who are unbeaten in three of their last four matches in front of their fans. However, their last Serie A fixture at the Stadio Ennio Tardini ended in a 1-1 draw with Venezia.
Parma often take a while to get going in games and have scored seven of their last nine Serie A home goals in the second half. However, they continue to struggle defensively and have failed to keep a single clean sheet in all 11 of their home matches in the league this season.
Lecce Form
Lecce are currently in the relegation zone but currently sit level on 20 points with the hosts. They have also found things difficult lately with one win from their last six Serie A matches and were beaten 4-0 at home by Inter Milan last time out in the league.
Results like that highlight the defensive problems that have plagued Lecce for much of the season as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last eight Serie A matches. Marco Giampaolo's team often try to find a balance at the other end of the pitch, although four of their last five Serie A away matches have produced more second half goals.
It is not all doom and gloom for Lecce this season as they seem to have a knack for getting the better of teams around them. They have won two of their last five away matches with both wins coming against fellow strugglers. The visitors claimed a 1-0 victory at Venezia before beating Empoli 3-1.

There have been two wins each and as many draws in the last six matches between Parma and Lecce. Both teams battled to a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture back in September.
Verdict
Parma and Lecce are poor defensively but often show flashes of quality going forward which could see both teams score on Friday. They both have a habit of taking a while to find their rhythm and with the last two meetings producing more second half goals, a similar outcome is expected here.
