QPR vs Blackburn Rovers Tips & Preview - Hosts to maintain home form
- QPR aiming for the top 10, eyeing a promotion playoff spot.
- QPR strong at home, five wins in last six home games.
- Blackburn struggling on the road, winless in last four.

QPR vs Blackburn Rovers
QPR are pushing for a place in the top 10 and welcome Blackburn Rovers to Loftus Road for an English Championship fixture on Tuesday.
The visitors are in the mix for a promotion playoff place but have been below their best lately, particularly on the road. The hosts are often solid in front of their fans and should have the edge in this one.
QPR Form
Sitting 14th in the table, the immediate task for QPR will be to push for a place in the top 10. With just six points separating them from sixth-placed West Brom, a promotion playoff place is also not beyond reach.
QPR have stumbled slightly lately, losing their last two Championship matches and were beaten 2-1 at Millwall last Saturday. However, they had picked up four straight wins prior to those defeats and the good news for manager Marti Cifuentes is that the Hoops have also won five of their last six Championship matches at Loftus Road.
One issue for QPR is a vulnerability at the back having failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last 10 Championship matches. However, they have scored in seven of their last eight Championship home matches while five fixtures in that run have produced over 2.5 goals.
Blackburn Rovers Form
Blackburn Rovers travel to Loftus Road off the back of a 2-1 victory over Preston North End in their previous Championship fixture. However, that win comes after three straight defeats as John Eustace’s men have found things difficult lately.
One of the things hampering Blackburn Rovers is a dodgy defence that has failed to keep a clean sheet in the last four Championship matches. They try to strike a balance going forward and have scored in three of their last five matches in the league.
Blackburn Rovers have also been poor on their travels and are winless in their last four Championship away matches. They have been beaten three times in that run, with a 2-1 defeat to 16th-placed Bristol City among their results.
Head to Head
Blackburn Rovers have the upper hand in recent meetings with QPR and have won five of the last six matches. The visitors claimed a 2-0 home victory in the reverse fixture back in September.
Verdict
Blackburn Rovers may have a good record in this fixture but do not come into Tuesday’s clash in good form. QPR, on the other hand, have done some of their best work at home in the last few matches and should claim the win here.
Neither defence has been solid this season and both teams are expected to score here while a win for the host should produce an outcome of over 2.5 goals.
