Tottenham host Fulham in a Premier League fixture on Sunday as they look to crank up the pressure on the frontrunners.

One of the major issues for Tottenham Hotspur this season is a lack of consistency as they seem unable to build any momentum. The evidence of that is in their last two matches as they beat Manchester City 4-0 last time out in the Premier but played out a 2-2 draw with Roma in the Europa League.

Tottenham Hotspur have also found it difficult to keep things tight at the back and have conceded in their last four home matches. Ange Postecoglou has talked about his desire to always entertain and his team have seen over 3.5 goals in two of their last three home matches.

One of the standout players for Tottenham Hotspur this season has been Brennan Johnson, who has scored five Premier League goals so far. The Welsh forward was also on target in the Europa League on Thursday.

Fulham Form

Fulham have had similar problems to Tottenham Hotspur as they seem unable to build on good performances. They are unbeaten in three of their last four matches but were hammered 4-1 at home by Wolverhampton Wanderers in their previous match.

The defeat to Wolves highlights a defensive issue that has plagued Fulham for much of the season. Marco Silva’s men have failed to keep a clean sheet in five of their last six matches.

Fulham do not just concede as they have a habit of getting carved open and being breached multiple times. Beyond the defeat to Wolves, they also conceded three in each of the games against Manchester City and Fulham.

Head to Head

Tottenham have a fine record against Fulham and have won four of the last six matches. However, the Cottagers claimed a 3-0 victory in the last meeting back in March.

Tottenham and Fulham are two of the most unpredictable teams in the Premier League and they are often inconsistent. One thing they do have in common is a poor defence that can certainly be carved open by a capable attack.

There is also quality in both attacks, which means a high scoring contest could be expected here. Johnson's recent good form could also see him get among the goals on Sunday.
