LCK Cup 2025 Format
The upcoming LCK season kickoff tournament will use a unique format, divided into three stages: the group stage, the Play-In stage, and the playoffs.
All 10 LCK teams will first be seeded into two single round-robin groups of five. The teams will play squads from the other group, and all matches will be best-of-three (BO3).
The group with the most wins (which reaches 13 wins first) becomes the Winner Group, and the other group becomes the Loser Group.
The top three teams from the Winner Group will advance to the playoffs, while the bottom two teams from the Winner Group and the top four teams from the Loser Group will advance to the Play-In stage.
The bottom team of the Loser group gets eliminated.
Play-In will feature a double-elimination bracket with the grand finals played as BO5, while the rest of games will be BO3. The top three teams from the Play-In proceed to the playoffs.
Playoffs will again use a double-elimination format, with all matches except for the grand finals played as BO3.
