Lyon continue their push for the UEFA Champions League places as they travel to Auxerre for a French Ligue 1 fixture on Sunday.

Lyon have looked a different side under Paulo Fonseca and are in the mix for a Champions League finish, sitting fifth in the table, two points off the top three. They are also in the semi-final of the Europa League and played out a 2-2 draw with Manchester United, with Rayan Cherki netting an injury time equaliser.

Although the Europa League route remains available, Lyon will be keen to double their chances of earning a Champions League finish via the Ligue 1 places. They have won four of their last five matches in the league, beating Lille 2-1 in their previous fixture.

Lyon have no problems going forward and seven of the eight goals scored in their last three away matches have come after the break. However, they are without a clean sheet in eight of their last 10 matches across all competitions, with all eight fixtures producing over 2.5 goals.

Lyon have three wins while Auxerre have been victorious twice in the last seven matches. There have been two draws in that run with both teams battling to a 2-2 scoreline in the reverse fixture back in October.
