Nice continue their push for a UEFA Champions League place as they travel to Rennes for a French Ligue 1 fixture on Saturday.

The hosts have looked erratic lately and are also finding things difficult in front of their fans. In contrast, the visitors are looking sharp at the moment and having done well on their recent travels, should have the upper hand in this one.

Nice are currently in the slot for the Champions League qualifiers but will have eyes for the automatic places, sitting just one point behind third placed Monaco. Franck Haise’s men have shown their intent in recent weeks, winning their last three Ligue 1 matches, including a 1-0 home victory over Reims in their previous fixture.

The visitors have also done some good work on their travels and are unbeaten in seven of their last nine away matches. Among their results in that run is a 3-1 victory at champions PSG, which will give them confidence in the final weeks of the season.

Nice have plenty of attacking quality and often spread their goals across the team, a quality that has seen them score in their last seven Ligue 1 matches. However, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in six of those fixtures, five of which have produced over 2.5 goals.

Nice have a good record in this fixture and are unbeaten in six of the last eight matches against Rennes. The hosts have picked up five wins in that run and claimed a 3-2 home victory in the reverse fixture back in January.
