Venezia continue their quest for survival and host Fiorentina in a Monday night Italian Serie A fixture.

The visitors are coming off a disappointing exit in the UEFA Conference League while the hosts are looking to make their home games count in the final weeks of the season. This fixture is often a tight contest and both teams should offer up a few goals here.

Sitting in the relegation zone, one point from safety, Venezia have three matches to save their season. The positive for Eusebio Di Francesco is that two of those fixtures are at home and they will be keen to make it count.

Fiorentina's quest to claim the Conference League came to an end on Thursday after playing out a 2-2 home draw with Real Betis in the semi-final second leg for a 4-3 aggregate defeat. The task for Fiorentina in the final weeks of the season will be to secure a European finish, sitting ninth in the table, four points off the top six.

Things have been a bit erratic domestically for Fiorentina who have won just two of their last five Serie A matches and were beaten 1-0 at Roma in their previous fixture. That result is part of a poor away record for Raffaele Palladino's team, who are winless in eight of their last nine Serie A away matches.

Fiorentina are looking off colour in attack lately with top scorer Moise Kean scoring just once in the last six matches. They have also failed to find the net more than once in five of their last eight Serie A away matches while two of their last four fixtures in the league have produced halftime draws.

Venezia and Fiorentina have five wins each and two draws from 12 previous matches. Both teams battled to a 0-0 scoreline in the reverse fixture back in August.

Venezia are often defensive against the big teams and should replicate the performance that earned them the 0-0 draws with Napoli and Lazio. Fiorentina have been unconvincing in attack and with the last four meetings produced over 2.5 goals, a repeat is expected here.

The last four meetings have produced under 1.5 goals in both halves, which is likely to be the outcome on Monday. A halftime draw could also be on the cards, with both teams level at the break in the reverse fixture.
