Czechia vs Spain Preview & Tips
Czechia have been awful in the Nations League this year and face a huge test in their penultimate match as they look to end their losing run against Spain, who are still perfect in the competition.
- Czechia have lost two of their last three matches by two goals
- Spain have won all four of their Nations League games
Head To Head
In their eight previous meetings, Spain have won six times and two matches have ended as draws.
Czechia Form
Czechia's foray into the top tier of the Nations League has been one to forget so far, with the side currently propping up Group 3 with two games to come.
Four matches have resulted in four defeats, two goals scored and 10 goals conceded. Their 2-1 loss to Croatia was something of a near-miss, but this is about as good as it has gotten. They have since lost to England (2-0), Spain (3-1) and England again (3-0).
None of their defeats have been embarrassing, but they are yet to really throw any punches. While Czechia can still finish above Croatia in Group 3, a home game against Spain before taking on Croatia will not likely end in the points they need.
Spain Form
Spain have been excellent in the 2026/27 Nations League after storming to four consecutive wins and the top of Group 3.
Their 3-2 win over England was a truly stunning match in which two European powerhouses traded blows. Their victory in England has since seen Spain secure wins over Croatia (4-1 and 2-1) and Czechia (3-1).
With 12 points in the back, Spain will know that a win in their penultimate match will mean that their final group game against England has some of the pressure taken off. Indeed, four points across their final two matches sees them finish top, and they will be hugely confident that they can secure a seventh win in nine matches against their opponent.
Spain are my pick to win this one, but they offer little real return in the match winner market. Instead, I recommend backing Spain to secure a win by two goals, something they have done in their last three against Czechia. The home side have also lost two of their last three by a two-goal margin.
Verdict
I am backing Spain to cruise to a two goal win in their penultimate Nations League match as they build towards their clash with England on the back of a win.
