AZ Alkmaar welcome Juventus in their fourth Europa League outing of the season as the home side look to end the unbeaten run of the former-European heavyweights.

This will be the first time the two sides have met in a competitive match.

AZ Alkmaar have rallied well from their 1-0 loss to Sunderland in their Europa League opener as the side failed to breakdown their Premier League opponents.
Since then, AZ Alkmaar have beaten Hapoel Beer-Sheva 2-1 before hammering Ararat-Armenia 4-0. Their six-point haul means they sit in 10th in the competition, a point behind their next opponents in seventh.
Whether Juventus are the team they once were or not, a win in this match for the home team would be a major statement. However, AZ Alkmaar's last two league outings have ended in defeats without scoring. The opening goal in this one is incredibly important, but I do not back that it will go the way of the home side as Juventus extend their unbeaten run.
Juventus Form
Despite being consigned to Europe's secondary competition, Juventus have been able to avoid defeat in their opening three and pick up seven points from a possible nine.
Wins over Nijmegen (5-0) and Celta Vigo (2-1) preceded a frustrating 2-2 draw with Rennes. While their last outing was one they will feel they dropped points they should have picked up, they have bettered fellow Serie A counterparts AC Milan, who have secured a single win and three points from a possible nine.
Another positive will be their recent 2-0 win over Napoli in their last Serie A outing. They did lose 2-0 in their last away game in the league but, prior to this, they had beaten Celta Vigo and Lecce in their previous away outings. While Juventus are not the old banker that many would make them out to be, I still back them to secure the points in this one as they make it three wins in four European matches.
Verdict
I am backing Juventus to get what may yet prove to be a crucial win over their opponents as they continue to amass points in Europe.
