Sparta Prague vs Bournemouth Preview & Tips
Sparta Prague are looking to end a run of two matches without a win in Europe, but they have a huge task ahead of them as they welcome one of only five teams left in the competition with a perfect record.
- Bournemouth have won all three of their Europa League games
- Sparta Prague failed to score in their last match against Olympiacos
Head To Head
This will be the first time the two clubs have played a competitive match against one-another.
Sparta Prague Form
Sparta Prague began their Europa League campaign in fine form as they brushed past Ararat-Armenia in a dominant 4-1 win. They then took a point from Lillestrom in a 1-1 draw as they extended their unbeaten run in the competition to two matches.
However, this run was brought to an end by a stubborn Olympiacos side that refused to concede a single goal on their way to a battling 1-0 win. While Sparta Prague are still inside the top 24 places in the competition, they will know that the one-point gap between themselves and Celta Vigo will currently mean little.
Positive for Sparta Prague will be that they have home advantage in this one, but this can often mean little if a team arrives in the sort of confident scoring form Bournemouth are in.
Bournemouth Form
Bournemouth battled to an impressive 2-1 win over Real Sociedad in their opening Europa League match as they started their campaign with a win.
They then roared to what was a regulation win over Sturm Graz as they won 3-0. Their clash with AC Milan was one they were looking to defend their perfect run in, and that is exactly what they did as they hammered AC Milan in a stunning 3-0 win that will have every side taking note of the Cherries.
Bournemouth are the favourites in this one which shows the confidence behind a side that have won their last six across competitions. Bournemouth have kept clean sheets across all six of those victories, and I back the Cherries to win to nil yet again.
Verdict
I am backing Bournemouth to extend their stunning run of winning to nil in all competitions to seven matches.
