Real Betis are aiming to be the first side to take any form of points from Barcelona in the league this season after their perfect start.

Barca can move eight clear of their next opponents with a win in this one as Barcelona aim for a ninth consecutive win in La Liga.

Real Betis continue to impress in the new La Liga season after winning six of their opening eight matches and picking up more points than Real Madrid.

Their impressive run has been based on a very solid defence, with the side conceding nine times in eight games. Even more impressive is that when omitting their shock 5-2 loss to Levante back in August, Betis have only conceded four goals in their other seven games.

Despite their strong defence, they now take on the in-form attacking team in Europe. Barca arrive having scored 34 goals in eight league games, and I predict another high-scoring game. Betis came out on top against Osasuna in their last outing in a thrilling 5-2 triumph, and I predict more goals in this one.

Barcelona Form

Barcelona have looked nearly unstoppable this season after storming to eight consecutive wins at the start of the new campaign.

34 goals scored and just seven conceded shows they have been very good at both ends of the field, while they arrive for this one having beaten Getafe 3-0 in the league last weekend and Galatasaray 4-1 in the Champions League in midweek.

Anthony Gordon continues to impress in front of goal, scoring in his last two appearances for Barca and in his last five for club and country. With Barcelona likely to continue their impressive scoring record as they go on the attack, I am backing the English forward to get on the scoresheet.
