Le Havre vs PSG Preview & Tips
Le Havre slumped to a 4-3 loss in their last game as their losing run in Ligue 1 was extended to four matches.
PSG made it five successive wins in Ligue 1 as they continued to make up for their slow start with a 2-0 win over Lyon.
- Le Havre are yet to win at home this season (D1, L3)
Head To Head
PSG have won nine of their last 10 matches against Le Havre, with the latter securing a single draw in this time.
Le Havre Form
Le Havre currently prop up the Ligue 1 table after a woeful start to the season has seen the side fail to win any of their opening eight matches.
A pair of draws have come alongside six defeats with four of these defeats coming in their last four. In what will be their fifth home match of the season, Le Havre have only picked up one point in their previous four.
While PSG started the season in poor form, they arrive for this one having rekindled the form that has seen them win so many Ligue 1 titles. This is likely the worst possible time to face the reigning champions as they look to extend their five-game winning run in the league.
With Le Havre struggling for momentum this season, the home side securing any kind of points in this one is fanciful.
PSG Form
PSG eased to a 2-0 win over Lyon in their last league game as they followed up their electric 4-2 win over Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek with a win.
Their triumph against Lyon saw them build on wins over Brest, Marseille, Le Mans and Strasbourg, with this enough to see PSG reclaim their place at the top of Ligue 1, a single point ahead of Rennes in second.
While the season is still very young, PSG will not want to loosen their hold on top-spot. Their five-game winning run has seen the reigning champions struggle for clean sheets, but they looked better at the back in their last outing.
Le Havre have often struggled to breach PSG's defence, losing to nil in their last two meetings. With the home side in woeful form, I back PSG to secure a clean sheet alongside all three points.
Verdict
I am backing PSG to beat Le Havre as they secure their sixth consecutive Ligue 1 win.
