Atletico Madrid have a huge chance to pick up three crucial points as one or both Barcelona and Real Madrid potentially drop points in El Clasico.

As one of the form teams in the league, Atleti boast five consecutive wins heading into this one. Victories over Real Sociedad, Osasuna, Real Madrid, Alaves and Espanyol has seen Atleti keep pace with the leaders despite their perfect run.

Against their opponents, Atletico have won their last three meetings with each ending in a 1-0 triumph. The home side also boast three wins to nil across their last five in La Liga. With Atletico looking very good of late, I am backing them to secure a win and a clean sheet.

Deportivo A Coruna Form

Deportivo A Coruna took a point from Levante in their last match but failed to end a winless run that now stands at five games.

Draws with Getafe and Real Betis preceded their draw with Levante, while they have lost to Sevilla and Real Sociedad in this time. Despite boasting the ninth best away record in La Liga, Deportivo have only won once, while they have drawn twice and lost once.

They will target staying compact defensively against Atleti, with a draw likely to be the sum of their ambition. However, their hosts have been excellent this season and have also won their last three matches against Deportivo without the travelling side scoring. I back more of the same in this one as the away team lose for the third time this season.
